The other thing was supporting The Who for eight shows on the Combat Rock tour, and it was like seeing us in 20 years' time. I didn't want to be the new boss, same as the old boss, and I couldn't see any way around it because no matter what you think you are or how well you think you think, once you're on that huge circuit, your whole life is like 'come and do that phone interview' or 'do a video standing on that building' or 'do a gig' - you're not living any life that can relate to anyone else's life. I've never envied U2. I often thought, Thank God we didn't have to do that, because I wanted to be a person.

So farewell then, Comrade Strumski.
Go straight to heaven, boy.
Your name's on the door.
Walk right in.
